InorAdopt is one of three private organizations of Norway authorized by Norwegian authorities for mediating adoptions of children from abroad.
InorAdopt is a humanitarian, politically neutral, non-profit organization, working in compliance with the UN convention on children’s rights of November 20th, 1989, and the Hague-convention, ratified by Norway, in force as of January 1st, 1998.
InorAdopt is a member of the Nordic Adoption Committee (NAC) and EurAdopt, a European association of recognized adoption organizations.
InorAdopt’s main objective is to mediate adoptions from foreign states. InorAdopt was founded in 1981 by parents of adopted children. Between the years 1981 and 1989, InorAdopt was solely engaged in aiding children in their native countries, until InorAdopt was also granted permission by Norwegian authorities to arrange adoptions.
Countries we work together with:
InorAdopt cooperates with Brazil (since 1989), Bulgaria (since 2000), China (since 1999) and Hungary (since 1991).
Relief measures for children in their native countries:
InorAdopt supports a variety of relief work in the countries we work together with. This ranges from aiding individual children/families to supporting children’s homes, medical aid and technical remedies for disabled children. All the support and relief work is voluntary.
